PSE VAS Genie is a comprehensive, out-of-the-box solution allowing Managed Service Providers to immediately offer 3G-based revenue-generating video services.
It requires no prior knowledge of complex Telco standards nor additional external equipment, and effectively matches services' growth thanks to full horizontal scalability.

Designed for Managed Service Providers

PSE VAS Genie includes all elements needed to provide interactive IP and 3G/UMTS services in minimum time-to-market:

• Connectivity to 3G Carriers (using 3G/H324M, or optionally SIP and H.323)
• Fully-featured Video Portal application and Content Management system supporting unlimited different Content Providers
• Mirial Softphone for Live Operator services.

The appliance enables Video IVR services, supporting all most common audio and video format as input - also including AVI, MPEG, DivX, 3gp and Macromedia Flash video - as well as RTSP live sources. A new set of pre-packaged functionalities allows users browsing a Video Portal to record and submit a video, insert a PIN code for authentication or purchase a formerly previewed content in few easy steps.
The product also supports PC-to-3G Mobile Live Operator services (1-to-1 and 1-to-Many) thanks to Mirial PC softphone.

Whitelabeling

Leveraging on a single PSE VAS Genie appliance, Service Providers can deliver managed Video Portal services to multiple Partners: the administrator is able to create different accounts and associate them to different Content Providers, each one with its own Video Portal service and premium 3G short code.

Fully Customizable Services

Every element of the services can be easily customized using a simple web interface, including Video IVR flow definition, menus items (clips, Live Operator links, live RTSP streams), background music, fonts, and many others. For example, it is possible to associate to each Live Operator a different "greeting videoclip" to be shown when the 3G user is connecting, or an "away videoclip" to be shown when the Live Operator is not available.

PSE VAS Genie implements specific functionalities for fault-tolerant and scalable cluster configurations, service monitoring via SNMP and comprehensive CDR generation for billing and statistics, as well as active calls real time charts and automated backup and restore capabilities.
The appliance is future-proof and IMS ready as it can support H.323 and SIP protocols (besides 3G/H.324m) on the Carrier side.
